About Lisa

Lisa (she/her) is a queer, sober Community Builder who believes that connection gives us all more room to thrive. In her spare time, she is either running, reading, or working on her first book. She lives in Ithaca, NY with her partner and dog.

Community building  is a practice in imagining and shaping the futures we want.  It’s how we show up, how we build together, and how we have a lasting impact on each other and the world. 

I'm a community cultivator with a background in peer support and network building, skilled at launching, scaling, and supporting sustainable brand communities. My work is interested in asking the big questions and challenging the status quo.

Sustainable Growth without Sacrificing Experience: At Tempest, I oversaw an 300% community growth with a +78 NPS over the course of 1 year.

Storytelling: I am a storyteller. I create spaces where folks are empowered to share their stories and build connection.

Making the Intangible, Tangible: My superpower is taking the intangible aspects of community and putting them into small actionable steps.

Data-Driven: I develop proven data strategies that use existing and new metrics to quantify community experience within and beyond engagement behavior.

Iterative strategy: When we move thoughtfully, we learn as we go. I build strategies that are change-resilient rather than change-resistant.

Inspired by the world we live in: I pull from experience, history, nature, literature, film and more to create community frameworks. Context matters when we want to build strong, lasting, scalable communities. cr
